Do you ever play the I wish game? You know, where you think with a very selfish mind all the things you wish, but live without because you just can't have every little whim of your heart? That's really how this whole Sewing Studio came about. Ryan mentioned something that bothered him and that he wished and I joined in the game and wished that I could have a place to set up my ironing board instead of loading it in and out of the closet for every little pressed crease. Then I thought, why stop wishing there? Let's wish for a whole room to sew in! And that's when Ryan came up with the brilliant and oh-so-generous plan of a Sewing Studio/Art room.
When I began planning this room, I thought, how cool it would be to replace my $20 teflon soleplate, never-hot-enough iron with an orange one! And I'm usually a form over function kind of gal, but when it comes to ironing, I'm as rigid as an ironing board. I want an iron that works and that works well. I grew up using my mom's Rowentas. Rowentas are the best, I was taught, but every single iron my mom had [and still has!] Leaked with a capital L. So, as I began to research irons I was in awe that I a) not only found an orange iron, but b) it had reviews over and over of how it didn't leak. I was so excited to test it out.
It has all your fabric temperature info on the bottom--it's there, but not obnoxiously printed everywhere. It also has a 360 degree ball hinge on the cord, because when I get ironing, I can't have ANYTHING holding me back in my contortion pressing.
One more feature that I find attractive is that although it has auto shut-off [every 8 minutes of un-use] you can override it by holding down the steam button. I don't dare use this feature, though, because I guarantee I will not remember to turn it off. I'm dependable like that.
Sorry for the blurriness. Pearl helped me with this shot, that we took a couple dozen times before I called it good enough.
And here's the seductive, mysterious shot of my new love.
To sum it up:
- Left or Right hand steam button: an unbiased iron. How thoughtful.
- 360 degree swiveling cord
- beautiful, CONTINUOUS steam [one of my favorite features]
- Simplicity
- Stainless Steel Soleplate
- Auto shut-off override
- NO leaking!
- The most important: it works. It just irons well.
- ps. it's orange.
I can't think of any major drawbacks except that it's not the lightest of irons. I prefer a heavier iron so that the workload of pressing down is done for me by the iron, but some people don't like that. It also doesn't have a "spray" feature, but I always keep a spray bottle next to my iron anyway [because when I want something sprayed, I want something sprayed], so that's a non-issue for me, but might bother others.

ReplyDeletepuravida(at)frontiernet(dot)net
i could have used that this morning while trying to press bias tape around tiny armholes! :)
ReplyDelete...hope to win this one...
pennyphilley(at)gmail(dot)com
I have a crappy old iron that shuts off randomly.. it suck very muchly! I SO need a new one!
ReplyDeletemamaisaac09(at)gmail(dot)com
I hate ironing, but a new iron would sure make the job more fun!
ReplyDeleteI love pressing seams as I am sewing. It makes my job easier and looks so professional.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Iron! I love the color! My iron leaks all the time. It is so very annoying. I would love to press my shirts and not have wet spots. Hope to win!! buzz5buzz@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteI'm also planning to make a bedroom into a sewing/craft room. This would be great for all the sewing I do :)
ReplyDeleteAbu1017(at)msn(dot)com
Something pressing? Hmmm I guess I need to finish packing for our move!!! Would be awesome to have a new iron to go along with our hopefully new home! We have a nice Rowenta but it is so old and falling apart. This looks like an awesome iron. Thanks for the chance to win! Oh and of course I love the color!
ReplyDeleteerika21(at)gmail(dot)com
Guess what, Katy!? I have YOUR old rowenta! The one that the steam doesn't work. Ha ha. So, I think it only right that your little sis should get a new iron, don't you think? :)
ReplyDeleteMy iron just died - right after burning some silk, of course. I could totally use this!
ReplyDeleteSince my current iron leaks water faster than I can put in it and soaks my board...a new orange iron would be awesome! Would look great in my new sewing room with green, aqua, and brown!
ReplyDeleteafowler02@hotmail.com
I have been looking for a new iron - this one might be it! I didn't get to finish my daughter's Easter dress for Easter Sunday, so to finish that is my "pressing" issue!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to sell my house because I'm in love with a different one. Love the orange iron!
ReplyDeletewicked! I recently acquired orange chairs for my kitchen table -- which happens to be where I do most of my ironing on a little table top ironing board -- so this would fit right in!
ReplyDeleteThat's the COOLEST looking iron ever! Thumbs down for ironing clothes. Two thumbs WAYYYYY up for ironing FABRIC!!!
ReplyDeleteI could totally use a new iron. I bought one a few years back and every time I spray steam onto the fabric some funky junk also comes out. I've tried making sure there is no water in the iron between uses but it doesn't make a difference. Plus my favorite color is orange and has been for a long time.
ReplyDeleteWow, I never thought an iron could be so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI am laughing aloud as I read this. a) I think we sew people are the only people who read the directions for an iron and b) today I entertained my toddler with singing into my iron ( which cost me $10 at Walmart 6 years ago) now that is pressing :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever fallen in love with an iron before. I desperately need a new one as mine is a piece of junk. I have a "pressing" birthday gift to finish up that I know would look even better if I could use this iron on it. :)
ReplyDeleteI do not have an iron because I refuse to buy a cheap one since my old one died. Saving my money for a GREAT one!! Maybe I will win this one!! That would be AWESOME!!
ReplyDeleteTell you something pressing?
ReplyDeleteI have to go potty... that is a very pressing matter :) My dog has been home for 9.5 hours... he is probably experiencing the same pressing situation. I have to leave work in 9 minutes and should finish up what I'm doing, mildly pressing :)
And speaking of pressing... I hate ironing... because mine is a big heavy beast and it hurts my arm and had. Would love to win this orange beauty! :)
Not only do I have a pressing need for a new iron, my husband would also do back-flips over this one! I am married to a meticulous man who irons his shirts and slacks to perfection each and every morning. We've gone through countless irons in our 10 years of marriage and still haven't found one to please both the seamstress and the professional presser in the family!
ReplyDeleteamielep@gmail.com
The only things really pressing in my life is all of the spaces that need cleaning. And I would love a new iron. I do so many different types of projects that just one is never enough, especially when some end up with things on them. I would love to win this beauty.
ReplyDeleteThe most pressing issue in our house is the fact that I keep stealing our family iron from the laundry room and carrying it downstairs to my sewing space. I'm starting to fear that my husband will kick me to the curb if he has to continue to go schlepping down the stairs in his knickers to get the iron before he can iron his pants in the mornings:)
ReplyDeletebeckymac1 at hotmail dot com
Ohhh, I have looked at those irons for a while and wondered if they were worth the money. Good to know they are! My husband ironed his work shirt with my good iron and now it has gunk on it from the logo! I'd love a new non-leaking iron!
ReplyDeleteOrange is becoming more appealing everyday! Would love to win this awesome iron!
ReplyDeletekimbersen.c@gmail.com
My husband has gunked up the iron with spray starch and I'm afraid to get it all over my projects - I'd love a fabulous iron of my very own!
ReplyDeleteThe only iron in our home is now 15 years old. I bought it to take to COLLEGE that many years ago, and if it cost even $15, I'd be surprised. Needless to say, it isn't hot enough, always leaks, has an annoying fixed cord that gets in my way ALL THE TIME. Luckily, we don't do much with ironing clothing around here. But many's the time I've turned the air blue while trying to press a sewing project. kaseymgm (at) gmail (dot) com
ReplyDeleteOh I so need a new iron! It's one of those things, just like your post, that is always a wish, not a priority! Between having a big family and all my projects, I iron a lot! Would love to win, thanks for the chance! :)
ReplyDeleteThe thing most pressing on me right now is trying to get ready for my daughter's birthday, pack for our move, pack for our vacation, and finish out the school year. I think I need a present. How about an awesome orange iron!? riankro(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteSomething pressing? Finishing up my PhD in Physics...
ReplyDeleteI'm still in awe of the whole 'no leaking' thing! As for Pressing... I have 2 months to make and fit a tailcoat for my friends wedding :S
ReplyDeletestraygoddess at gmail dot com (I can't remember if it's linked or not!)
I have bought nothing but baby things for the last year - true story (as I'm shopping for a new teether online right this sec, ah hem). I so deserve a treat.
ReplyDeletelovemesomedots10 at hotmail d0t com
Definitely the best iron I've ever seen in my life :)
ReplyDeleteOh gosh, something pressing... which should I choose?! Finals. It's finals season here at my university... pretty much the definition of pressing. Oh dear.
Yay giveaways!
palindromesoup[at]gmail[dot]com
What a wonderful giveaway! NEO iron...yeeeehawww :0) My good friend recently had ironing/pressing issues (!) with a Rowenta...I'll have to let her know she's not alone!!!
ReplyDeletemorn12night (at) gmail (dot) com
I would LOVE to own an iron that didn't leak. I am constantly ironing (clothes and fabric) and always have issues witha leaky iron.
ReplyDeleteIf an iron can be pretty, this one is. So far so good on my Rowenta I got for Christmas a few years ago in the leak department, but part of the plastic casing that covers the steam button is coming off the iron and simply will NOT go back. Annoying.
ReplyDeletesomething pressing...I'm leaving the country in 9 days and my visa still hasn't come!
ReplyDeletebrynnrenee89(at)yahoo(dot)com
That is so pretty. My iron is one of those $20 ones you mentioned and the ironing plate continually threatens to come off of the rest of the iron. And something pressing--how am I going to fit in making dinner tonight between grocery shopping, ballet classes, and church???
ReplyDeleteI need a new iron badly!!! And an ironing board cover is another thing :)
ReplyDeleteOh, what a great prize! My poorly designed iron leaks so much that I don't even put water in it anymore. And the super-short cord shoots off to one side (the wrong one of course), so I'm always having to tuck the cord under my hand as I iron so that I don't it by mistake. Boo! But yay for lovely orange irons! Thanks for the chance to win.
ReplyDeletesruder(at)sympatico(d0t)ca
Ooooh! I would LOVE a new iron! I could have used a good one the last few nights making my son's bday quilt!! I hope I win!! :)
ReplyDeleteprincess(dot)erica(at)sbcglobal(dot)net
I could really use a new iron. I'm NOT a fan of ironing so I've been using my husband's old bachelor one... we've been married for almost 9 years. This one is so stylish it might make ironing fun, if that's possible!
ReplyDeleteOh my dear, old (cheap) iron has recently pressed more wonderunder than i care to admit, leaving a sticky residue bound to get on my sweet husband's shirts. i'd love a pretty new (orange) one!
ReplyDeletekristenlyn.morrison@gmail.com
How fabulous would it be to have a brand new iron!
ReplyDeletesunshiney.gal@gmail.com
Pressing...hmm....I have spring cleaning to be done, regular house cleaning to be done, 3 children who need baths after my coffee break, 6 month old twins needing to be nursed, and I really, really want to be sewing right now. A new iron would be swell!
ReplyDeletemtgoodfellow05 at aol dot com
My pressing need is for more orange. No matter how much I already have.(Like the new kitchen utensils I bought at the dollar store because they were ORANGE.Even though we already had lots). Orange. Always.
ReplyDeleteMy iron leaks, and you have to push the steam button a thousand times, and one of the little rubber 'legs,' came off 5 moves ago and it never sits quite right on the ironing board, so I have to be careful not to tip it! I love this orange iron, how fun! necklacebliss(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI might have fallen in love with it too! And it helps that im in the market for a new iron! Awesome!
ReplyDeletebeth
Gatorneely@yahoo
Hmm, something pressing? Well, how about my ironing basket that is full of clothes that need pressing is so full that I've decided my husband should embrace the crinkled shirt look ... Yup, a new iron would help a lot here!
ReplyDeleteI need a new iron desperately! Actually, I'm always, saying that, because it seams I buy one every 3 months! I'd love for anything that didn't leak all over my handmade goodness.
ReplyDelete:-)
My pressing matter: I was in the middle of pressing bias tape and my iron died as in no heat!! Nothing! It really stunk. We did get a new one but you know it is the $20 kind that will get you buy until you can afford something better. This would be wonderful. Who knew I could get so excited over an iron!:)
ReplyDeleteI need to clean my house and make a baby blanket for a new niece. :) Love your new iron!!
ReplyDeleteI would looooooove to get one of those !!! I'm like your mum, always swear by Rowenta..but reading you..mmmm...I'm ready to change my mind !!!!
ReplyDeleteSomething pressing: must figure out how to adjust a pants pattern to fit my skinny-no-butt-still-has-a-baby-buddha-belly daughter before she outgrows the pants I'm working with. An iron also helps with pants.
ReplyDeleteYour orange posts are making me love orange more and more.
I'm slightly addicted to ironing.
ReplyDeletemy iron leaks, too! and the cord is concerning me (looks unsafe...). i need a new iron!
ReplyDeleteWell I do pressed quilts..but mostly I pressed my husband's pants every morning for his work... I also pressed my 4 boys' pants every Sunday before church..Pressing pants is NOT as fun pressed a pretty fabric! I actually LOVE the orange iron..who knew it will come in orange!
ReplyDeleteJKL052095(at)aol(dot)com
I'm an orange girl too... it's a must have!!!!!!
ReplyDeletemaomaocrafts.blogspot.com
Maybe if I had an iron this cute my husband would stop begging me to iron his work shirts cuz I'd actually do it...any chance of that?
ReplyDeleteSeeing that the "cheap" iron I have doesn't really iron well (and it leaks)...I am in need of a new iron. I love the orange color! :)
ReplyDeleteTrendymeg@msn.com
LOVE the orange...I have had a love affair with orange since college (TN Volunteers' colors are white and orange). Pick me pretty please!!
ReplyDeletehaleyg82(at)hotmail(dot)com
What a lovely iron... I definetly need a new one. My pressing news is that my little girl just turned one! And when I was making her a little "1" onesie, I got junk on my iron face (from the Wonder Under.) I was able to remove most of it, but it started my search for a new iron for sure. Hopefully I can win one instead!!
ReplyDeletebonner_16@hotmail.com
I SOOO need a new iron! Mine is a 6 dollar thrift store purchase. . .
ReplyDeleteand I so love your orange! awesome.

I've seen the Reliable irons but hadn't read a review yet. I'd love one!
ReplyDeleteOrange is my favorite school colors. I've got to have this thing!
ReplyDeleteI've never wanted to spend money on an iron, but maybe I will be convinced to give up this ancient thing I have.

ReplyDeleteThe steam on my iron just went out! Rats! What a beauty this is to replace my lost steam :) camiandavis at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteOh! Pick me! Any time I try to use the steam setting on my iron, brown gook stains my clothes :(
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity!
Ooooh, I had no idea irons came in pretty colors. I could use a bit more color in my life! :)
ReplyDeleteHmmm... something "pressing", eh? I'm helping my daughter do her newborn baby laundry before her baby boy comes! AND?? I have one very lovely bassinet bed lining hanging over my ironing board right this very minute, to PRESS & be all crisp and pretty for Baby's Arrival!
ReplyDeleteI DO love the looks of that iron! :-)
Thanks for the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteWhat is pressing for me is coming up with a Mother's Day craft my 2 yr can do so I can get it in the mail asap :)
ReplyDeleteyeah my iron leaks constantly!!! arrgghh.
ReplyDeletehow cute is your love affair with orange:-) cant wait to see the finished room!
Wow! What a great first iron that would be. I am always running to neighbors to borrow one because I don't know which one I like best.
ReplyDeleteAs a HUGE fan of orange this would be amazing!!!!! i might actually iron clothes if my iron was orange :)
ReplyDeletePRESSING--Never Enough Time to sew all the ideas that would need pressed with that iron. Sure would love the iron! bnkwagaman(at)msn(dot)com
ReplyDeleteI thought I could get along with my $10 iron from Costco, but spend most of my time filling the water chamber.
ReplyDeleteA sassy orange iron would be fun.
Wow!! That looks like a great iron! I hate ironing clothes but some reason I'm ok with ironing my sewing projects! :) This would make it so much easier. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI must enter this one! If I have to scream at my leaky, very expensive Rowenta through one more project...I can't believe this exists! Oh, wonderfully hot non-leaky pretty iron, where have you been all my life. What's pressing with me? Sewing projects up the wazoo and a ton of undone ironging!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win such a cool iron. It would make ironing so much fun. I'm an orange fan as well. jillijohnson@msn.com
ReplyDeleteIn my dream sewing room (which wont be real for a while) the colors are going to be orange, purple, and blue (weird I know) so this would go perfectly!!!!!
ReplyDeletejchasler@gmail.com
My heart skipped a beat when I saw that iron! My Shark iron leaks with a capital L. meganberka@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteMy poor iron is so old and is a mini handheld one that my husband got when he was in boot camp... probably 6 years ago?
ReplyDeletePretty please!!
mjwebhome (at) yahoo (d0t) com
I love me some orange too! Maybe not as much as you, but lots!! :)
ReplyDeleteone word....LINEN.
ReplyDeleteMy iron is not all that great. I could use this one! Fabric pressing, here I come!
ReplyDeleteheidikittelson at gmail dot com
I am loving your new room!!! Orange is my favorite color too! It's part of the reason I went to school at Oklahoma State University and still live in Stillwater ;) 'round here we wear orange every Friday (plus other days throughout the week).
ReplyDeleteI still use my very first iron. You know the kind you get when you are 18, and just barely out on your own...the one that only cost $8 or $10? Yeah, I'm thinking it's time for a new one! And orange? I mean, come on! It's perfect!
ReplyDeletemeglutenfree at gmail dot com
I am inpressed with its steamy features, this beautiful orange needs me to squeeze it.
ReplyDeletesunshineyrain@hotmail.com
Hmmm...Something pressing, eh? Well, I'm going to college soon and I could definitely use an iron because, well, not only do I not have a good iron, I don't have ANY iron!
ReplyDeleteI would love a new iron, I am still using the one I received when I got married-14 years ago!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful iron. I would love to own one.
ReplyDeleteSomething pressing... I have been married 11 years and had the same $10 iron the whole time. I do a lot of sewing and because the iron doesn't get very hot I am forced to use starch. (You should see the starch build up on my iron! ;)
mimiyoung123@gmail.com
I need a new pressing board, does that count? Thanks for the chance!
ReplyDeleteSomething pressing: I need a new iron badly. And I don't think of an iron as something I want to spend money on. Although that orange one sure makes me consider it.
ReplyDeletefirrkids(at)gmail.com
I need this iron! My husband used mine to melt the wax on his snowboard! Plus it's so cute!
ReplyDeleteHmmm....something "pressing"..I need to get better so I can go to school w/ my daughter for her "Special Person" day. I am truly honored b/c my oldest daughter chose my sister-in-law when she was in Kindergarden. This cold MUST. GO. AWAY. Before tomorrow. The iron is lovely, and I hate my current one...it's cheap and leaks all over the place. ruthelizabethw(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteA new iron is always needed! Love the color.
ReplyDeleteI thought my iron was the only one that leaked. I love the orange color. Everyone who sews needs a great iron.
ReplyDeleteWell pressing as in time crunch over here. My uncle is going into the hospital so I have about four days to finish his quilt that was supposed to be a Christmas present.
ReplyDeleteI'm still using the old iron we inherited when we first got married! And the same ironing board whose cover falls off every time we take it out. My husband keeps wishing for me to replace it but I haven't been able to get it to the top of our list yet! The orange is way too fun for me... it might start me thinking, you know??
ReplyDeleteSomething pressing....my husband is working in Alaska, and I am in Alabama, and I've been missing him for 3 months now. AND my daughter lost her 1st tooth today!
ReplyDeleteIf I had a cool iron like that, I might... might... iron something other than my sewing projects. ;)
ReplyDeleteI could really use a new iron, I consider that quite pressing :) kjadef(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a dream. I would love one to help with my pressing
ReplyDeleteooo, she's a beauty all right! Would love to clean press something with that baby!
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing.
I am in serious need of a new iron...the one I use is older than I am. I am not exaggerating. And it leaks.
ReplyDeleteagirishgirl11@aol.com
My Rowenta leaks. That is a very pressing issue.
ReplyDeleteMy iron died the night before Easter, in the middle of sewing dresses. I thought my rowenta iron would last forever and then when I needed it most it died. I guess that is my pressing dilema that my beloved rowenta that never turned it self off is now dead. Now I have a stupid iron that won't stay on while I am sewing. I sit down to sew some thing and it doesn't have the patiance to wait for me.
ReplyDeleteI love a heavier iron. Know why? I can get a bit of a workout while I press away.....it's a true twofer!
ReplyDeleteLove the orange and who doesn't need an iron, especially a summery orange one. Thanks so much!
Thanks. I need a new iron.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win a new iron! My cheap wedding gift one isn't pulling it out for me. Love the color too!
ReplyDeletesunnysummersmile at gmail dot com
Something pressing, ha! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteDo I even dare to admit that the iron I have (and use) is ridiculously old? My mother gave it to me when I left for school -- It's one she had had for ages (I'm pretty sure I remember learning how to iron with this iron). Suffice it to say, I could really use a new iron! And this one looks fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOOOO I would LOVE that! I love orange anything!!!
ReplyDeletesarahfoss328(at)gmail(dot)com
It's amazing! It's going to look awesome in your studio!!!
ReplyDeleteForm and function, a winning combo that I would love to win. :)
katepalmer17(at)gmail(dot)com
I have three roommates and needless to say, our iron is not in the best shape. Plus this one just looks so fantastic!
ReplyDeleteeajustis at yahoo dot com
I still have my husbands and my irons from college - neither of them are in good shape. Not to mention when you're in college you tend to buy the cheapest one available :)
ReplyDeletecbhoff05@yahoo.com
I sooo need a new iron! Mine is 20+ years old and LEAKS!
ReplyDeleteOddly enough, it's my HUSBAND that would ooh and ahh over this iron!
ReplyDeleteeilis_byrnes at yahoo dot com
Oh, please, please, please let me win this. I bought a new iron and within a few months it started leaking. Making my pressing issue a wet one :/
ReplyDeleteMY iron is not only a leaking, not-hot-enough 10-year-old beast from Kmart, but it's also boring old WHITE and has wax paper stuck to the plate! And I'm lazy when it comes to pressing my sewing...I need some motivation! katiefewell (at) gmail (dot) com
ReplyDeleteI use my iron a lot, and I can't remember the last time I had to iron an article of clothing. I'm always using it for sewing. It would be so a.w.e.s.o.m.e. to win this gorgeous number. Thanks for the review and the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI bought my iron from goodwill 11 years ago for $2.99 when I was a very, very poor college student. In fact, the price sticker is still on it :) It still works but has no steam and is seriously from the 1970s.
deboer(dot)nina(at)gmail(dot)com
something pressing is my old iron with a huge burnt mark on the bottom broke yesterday and I'm participating in a craft fair on may 14th.I'm probably going to have to borrow an iron to get all my work done.I'm totally stessing:( winning this would rock. And yes my old iron leaked too.
ReplyDeleteI would love that lovely new orange iron... My lovely blue iron fell off my ironing board one day this past fall... and poor thing hasn't produced any steam since. (do you know how hard it is to press without steam?)
ReplyDeleteRehbeinAmy@aol.com
What a fabulous giveaway! I feel like a nerd being so excited over an iron, but would it ever make a difference. I would love to have an iron that works. Mine is decent, but it just takes too long to get a proper crease, or to remove wrinkles. I don't like to spend 30 mins ironing a single item. I love that this iron is orange.
ReplyDeletejgentry@shaw.ca
Would be amazing for the little time I get for sewing anymore with my little toddler getting into everything, my mommy time has been limited to when he is sleeping with my husband deployed for the year. Since time is "pressing" it would be amazing not to have a cheap 20$ iron that takes forever to heat up not to mention the repressing that I feel like I have to do, even with the heat turned way far up! I love to sew, seriously every free minute I can get away from cleaning or yardwork, laundry ext. I am sitting by my little machine or scanning blogs for some fun new sewing projects I would love to start!
ReplyDeletesummerstarz033@gmail.com ^^
ReplyDeleteIrons tend to have a short life span at our house. And Orange!!
ReplyDeletePressing issues are the three baby quilts waiting for my attention and two curtains to finish and a twin quilt...Oy. A slick iron would be awesome!
Our regular iron died and so my sewing iron is now the general family iron and it's not a very good iron to begin with! Plus for some reason i'm in love with organge lately!
ReplyDeletepantrycookinmama@gmail.com Rebecca
Something pressing? Finishing a summer shirt...for ME! Leaking is a constant issue for me and my iron too.
ReplyDeleteI'm using the iron that my husband bougth at Walgreens for 10$ before we got married. We,ve been 3.5 years married. I think we need a new one!
ReplyDeletefaviolavega at hotmail dot com
My ironing board is set up in my dining room (that gets used once a year as a dining room at Christmas). My iron was going to get thrown away by a housemaid in college when we graduated....not this century :(. I saved it from the trash and am apparently too cheap to replace it.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a super iron. It would be such a blessing to have a really nice iron. We have had *waaaay* too many bad leaky irons around this place.
ReplyDeleteachristinesearl[at]gmail[dot]com
orange is oh so delicious! I am often pressed for time... but I refuse to leave the house with wrinkled clothes! I would love this orange beauty. yes, indeed.
ReplyDeleteThrowing my hat in as I too would love to win a really great iron!
ReplyDeletePressing: What should I do for Crafturday with the girls this weekend? Paint a toy for my son, sew baby gifts, or get a head start on my KCWC??
ReplyDeleteI always thought my Rowenta leaked due to the banging around its put up with. Obviously, it is not my fault, right?
katachism (at) gmail (dot) com
oh i hope i get picked, my favorite color has been orange since i could talk. it has to be popcicle 50/50 orange, although i love alot of other shades. my first car was an orange vw squareback, i thought i'd died and gone to heaven when my boyfriend (now husband) called and said his mechanic friend was selling one. oh, and on a sad note my iron recently fell off of my drier and broke.
ReplyDeletep.s. i love all of your creative ideas and adorable kidos.
I hate ironing, but don't think I'd mind as much with a fun, bright iron that works well too!
ReplyDeletethis iron is hot! and my favorite color has been orange for years. cool...(&hot!)! :)
ReplyDeletesadierosez@gmail (dot) com
Today my ROWENTA leaked like crazy! I need some help!
ReplyDeleteI have lots and lots of little tiny doll clothes with french seams to make... that is pressing! Thanks for the opportunity :)
ReplyDeleteappletreehouse @ att (dot) net
Dh bought me a new sewing machine in Dec! YAY! I hated going up and down the stairs to iron. A month ago, I set up a sewing room! YAY again. So now I steal his iron and one of us is constantly fetching it for the other one.
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for Valentine's Day that I would be given an iron by my husband. Nope.
I am hoping that I get one for Mother's Day....I can already tell you that is a Nope!
:)
A scrumptious orange iron would make a beautiful addition to my sewing room.
Cheers,
Kere
baberb04 (at) yahoo (dot) com
Be still my beating heart!!! I would love an orange iron.

My "pressing" comment is that looking into private schools is heavy on my mind!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all you are so cute! I feel that when I read your posts I am sitting down having them over a cup of tea :) Something pressing . . . An orange iron would make me feel more creative. I really believe that your tools can help to inspire you!
ReplyDeleteI did just score a non leaking iron off a display sale. But yours is way sexier. Hope I win!
ReplyDeleteAn orange iron, who could ask for anything more?

OOh! I love the orange fabric too. I am blessed to be able to leave my iron out all the time. It makes a big difference in getting sewing done.
ReplyDeleteCool iron. I too have LOVED Rowenta...but they leak, leak, leak. (They didn't use to...) I love to iron and can't wait to try this out!
ReplyDeleteOh, to win a new iron, how cool would that be.
ReplyDeleteSomething pressing. Um, I have loads of baby boy things to sew in about 6 weeks. Yikes, time sure flies when you are pregnant!

Wow, this looks so cool. My current iron is a cordless, which I love but it does not get hot enough for me. And since I iron EVERYTHING (but underwear) a hot iron would make me melt. :)
ReplyDeleteI am pressing my fingers on my keyboard to type out a message to you that says I love that orange iron! Wowsers...it's so good to see more orange these days...I truly love it! Can't wait to check this out! Thanks for sharing and lucky beans to the winner! :)

ReplyDeleteSomething pressing...setting up a Dr. appointment for me (something that I have a tendancy to procrastinate big time).
ReplyDeleteI currently have one of those leaky irons.
Orange! cool!
ReplyDeletemy hubby and I fight over where to keep the iron. If I have my own (ours really isn't that great anymore so I def get the new one!) then it would help our marriage :)
I love my iron and I really think the two of them...my little missy and this here fellow...could be soul mates!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win.

joshuasprincess{at}gmail{dot}com
something pressing me is the unfinished curtains I have been sewing for my room for a year. I really need a new iron, mine has gunk on it, I can't get it off.
ReplyDeleteheidiemyers@gmail.com
This beautiful orange iron would be the perfect accessory in my newly painted orange laundry room with my newly purchased red washer and dryer. Great find, congrats! p.s. isn't Tinsel Trading the best?
ReplyDeletemeewltr@gmail.com
Cool giveaway. My pressing issue is the conference tomorrow I have for my job. My boss is amazing & lets my baby (that I nurse) come to work with me. I only hope the conference people are so understanding. My fingers are crossed. Worst case? They ask me & the babe to leave.

The ball joint cord is enough to make me want this iron, and then the added bonus of it being orange just puts me over the top! So glad we share
ReplyDeletea love for the color orange. And pressing? Job interview tomorrow, here's to hoping...
Tomorrow, I go for my 20 week ultrasound. I get to find out if I'm having my 3rd girl or my 1st boy. After that, I'm going to have to get sewing to get ready for this little one!
ReplyDeletei paid big bucks for a rowenta that doesn't actually steam until you've been using it for an hour - a new one would be awesome!
ReplyDeletegreat giveaway!

I'm one of those with a leaky Rowenta...Didn't know they had that reputation until I read what you said...I really need that ORANGE iron!!
ReplyDeleteOoh, what a treat a new iron would be!
ReplyDeletealiben7 (at) gmail (dot) com
My iron doesn't even steam anymore, I am spritzing my fabric with water before I iron to compensate.
ReplyDeletesmiling.aspen (at) gmail (dot) com
I need a new iron! Today my iron dripped brown water on my husband's white shirt. Yikes.

ReplyDeleteOur pressing news, is that we might get a new job that would move our family to to TX. I would love to move a new iron : )
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know there was this "Rolls Royce" of irons! Thank goodness you are here to enlighten me. A new iron would be amazing! Thanks.
ReplyDeletemelissa.perkins4@gmail.com
Oh the leaking. The leaking is making me crazy! I would love a non-leaking iron.
ReplyDeleteOrange Baby!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally an iron freak, my friends actually laugh at me because I iron everything in my home. I would love this iron!
OMG an iron for this lefty! I need a new iron too. Sounds fabulous!
ReplyDeleteThat ball hinge has to be the greatest feature for me, my cord is always getting in my way!
ReplyDeleteSomething pressing is the fact that my iron has been dropped about 4 times now and probably only has one heat setting now. I love this iron and it would be a great addition to my new sewing studio. Thanks for the opportunity to win!
ReplyDeleteI so need a new iron. Mine keeps crackling when I use it. I'm pretty sure that's not good thing.
ReplyDeleteI would love to get rid of my Teflon coated iron from 1984. Seriously - same model my mom had when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteoh, i hate ironing. Give me to cook to wash plates, clean the house etc.. ironing i hate... though i have no choice but do it. I guess it is because they never seem to be completelly straight, it pisses me off !!! Maybe your iron will make them damn straight ?!
ReplyDeleteTotally need a new iron, love the orange.
ReplyDeleteThis iron would mean i don't have to share the one dinky iron we own anymore with non-craft projects!
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this iron, thanks for the giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I could really use a new iron! How Fun! And I LOVE that it is Orange!
ReplyDeleteI've never thought about an orange iron and now I NEED IT! I have to iron dry because my of course is leaking!
ReplyDeleteEvin5 at aol dot com
The very funniest thing about this is a) I don't like orange, and I still want the orange iron.... b) If I win this, I have to buy a new ironing board. Cause mine is a MINI ironing board, and I need way, way, way more space. WAY.
ReplyDeletecolordynamicAThotmailDOTcom
I recently painted my front foyer a lovely burnt orange color that I LOVE!!! A real departure for me & I surprised the whole darn family when I came home with that color!
ReplyDeleteMy pressing story is that I am still using the same ironing board I had in college. It came from my Aunt's second husband's backyard. Who knows how long it had lived out there. It's now been in my keeping for 27 years. I try to compensate for it's shortcomings by getting better irons, but they _always_ leak. Very disappointing. I'm not ready to give up on the ironing board, so maybe a new iron in my new favorite color is in order???!!!!

We lost our good iron when our house flooded, currently we have a $15 walmart special that i don't even bother using it when I sew because it's so worthless!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
