I like to buy markers. Rather, I need to buy markers, and colorful paper, and chalk, and paint, and of course fabric and beads andandand... One [ahem, Ryan] might consider it an obsession. But we all know the frustration when you sit down to color something and all you get is a faded streak of color, especially when it's to help your child with a school project, late at night, the very night before it is due, and you end up using highlighters scrounged from every drawer in the house and permanent markers that seep all over the place, creating more of a monster than masterpiece. So, markers we have aplenty, fresh, richly saturated with color and Both of my parents are artists. They tell tales, however, of their art supplies growing up: lined paper and #2 pencils. They laugh with each other, and talk about "oh the art we could have produced, had we some proper supplies". My dad used to paint rocks and sell them in his neighborhood. Really neat ones, like a curvy woman made of three rocks stacked with a little pointy one for her shoe that protruded from her skirt. So growing up, we were always stocked with plenty of art supplies and even had a "drawing room". This is why I, too, buy lots and lots of art supplies for my baby dills. They paint on actual canvas. They draw with oil pastels and colored pencils. We display their artwork and give them praise and compliments. We want them to grow with confidence to create, whatever medium they may choose, and help them to find their passion My mom went on to use fiber as her muse [like mother...] and my dad dabbles in just about everything from wood to paint to hand sewing, floral arrangment and everything in between.
When we received the lovely shipment of 5 toothbrushes and 5 tubes of toothpaste, I had all my girls sit in a circle and passed out the goods. It was so intriguing to me to watch my girls decorate their
ARM & HAMMER® Spinbrush® MY WAY!® battery powered toothbrushes for girls and Orajel ® MY WAY!® Kids Toothpaste we were sent to test out. Divine, the minimalist and queen of symmetry portrayed her style easily. Azure, on the other hand, packed those stickers on as much as she could and was so pleased with her results, using every cute sticker she could peel off. Even the way they put their names on, fit their artistic and personality tendencies. It made them excited to use their very own creation to brush their teeth, which they love because both Ryan and I use battery powered toothbrushes. They work more efficiently and effectively than those chubby little baby dill hands, and I have to add that being able to read whose toothbrush is whose is a huge help for a mom of 5! I have to have someone sit next to me and tell me whose underwear is whose as I fold laundry--I should monogram them all! Needless to say, both Spinbrush® and the toothpaste were a hit with baby dills and this mama dill.
So, what's in it for you? How about a $100 Visa gift card!!!
Not too shabby. So what do you need to do? The official

love that you decorated the toothbrushes, i am going to remember that when my little man is big enough to brush by himself :)
ReplyDeletewould love to win!
ReplyDeleteWow! Who would have thought that brushing your teeth could be so cute?
ReplyDeleteHow fun that toothbrush would be.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like they had a lot of fun. I never thought that kids would like brushing their teeth.
ReplyDeleteAwww, so cute. I want to see the rest of the decorated toothbrushes...
ReplyDeletedonnya_89@yahoo.com
These are so cute! I have a three year old that needs one.
ReplyDeleteI never heard of those decorate yourself toothbrushes. Seems like a great idea to encourage brushing. I used to work as a dental assistant some years ago and seeing all those little kids with serious tooth decay was the saddest part of the job. I'm glad your baby dills are avid toothbrushers.
ReplyDeletejagoda005(at)yahoo(dot)com
Whatever gets them to brush their teeth!
ReplyDeleteI need 4!! how fun to be able to decorate your own.
ReplyDeleteFun! Love these pictures. :)
ReplyDeletestickers are a great idea, i imagine 5 of anything starts to look alike after a while.
ReplyDeleteVery intriguing how each child creates differently, even with just a pencil and paper, my kids personalities are shown with what they come up with.
ReplyDeleteActually a great idea. It's hard keeping track of who owns what brush sometimes!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering how artists and toothbrushes were going to relate....and yet they did. ONLY YOU. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love things that can be personalized for each kid. Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeletesunnysummersmile at gmail dot com

ReplyDeleteThat sounds so fun! I might have to try something like that with my little ones. Thanks for the awesome giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHeh. Never would have thought to decorate a toothbrush. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteKids love to decorate everything else...why not their toothbrushes!! Brilliant idea!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the block photos! I wonder if one of those would get my son to brush his teeth longer. He has fallen victim to his father's short and sweet method..which is way too short by my standards.
ReplyDeleteHow fun. Well I now have a funny vision in my head with you folding loads of pink laundry with a little one calling out the owners name as you hold up each item. FUN!
ReplyDeleteShe is adorable!! What a great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHow smart of you to decorate them! We love spin brushes here! :) katiefewell(at)gmail(dot)com
ReplyDeleteFantastic! My 3-year-old nephew currently requires his parents to solve a "riddle" (a toddler-invented riddle, mind you) before he "allows" them to brush his teeth. They sure work hard for it.
ReplyDeleteHow fun, I think my kiddos would like those toothbrushes.
ReplyDeleteroberkann@gmail.com
thanks
ReplyDeleteMy kids would love new toothbrushes. Especially fancy ones. :)
ReplyDeleteSweet! My sister uses these for her kids (the adult version). I'm going to tell her about this - she's got 7 kids so it will help her too! And I'm about to have a 2nd brusher (my little girl is getting to that age!) so I'm excited to have fun toothbrushes that help them do their thing! :)
